Where Nosto began
Nosto’s journey started in 2011 by Founders Juha Valvanne, Antti Pöyhönen and Jani Luostarinen. Unsatisfied with the impersonal ecommerce experiences offered to shoppers, the trio sought to turnthese limitations into opportunities – creating a platform for retailers and ecommerce brands to deliver the experiences that shoppers deserve.
How it came together
As an ecommerce advisor for online stores and a founder of several successful online stores, Juha knew what an optimal commerce experience should look like – yet came across many retailers who still struggled with existing ecommerce tools that led to suboptimal experiences for their customers.
At the same time, Antti, who had spent the past 10 years building ecommerce platforms, was in the process of inventing a way to provide retailers and brands with a live view of how shoppers were behaving on their online store.
Meanwhile, Jani was using his expertise in cloud computing and big data to build a software that could serve millions of ecommerce experiences at any given moment.
